Our Teachers

Yelena Storma, RYT-200

Yelena Storma, founder of Lotus Yoga, is a  Vinyasa Yoga teacher, certified by the RYT 200 hrs, ERYT 200 hrs and  registered with National Yoga Alliance. Yelena is also certified as a Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, and to top it all off she holds massage therapist certification   state of WI-11492146  and Northern Style Thai Massage.

Her yoga journey began from meditation. She has been practicing meditation over 24 years and has been teaching yoga since 2005. Yelena brings her enthusiasm and passion for yoga to each class.  She provides challenging and interesting classes with a variety of sequences.

Both Yoga and Meditation have fit perfectly into her life and have given her stamina, confidence and, according to Yelena, made her entirely new person. She opened her own studio in 2007 sharing with people how yoga changed her life:

“..I am constantly amazed how my body, my attitude and thoughts change during the practice. Yoga and Meditation help me to lead dynamic and healthy lifestyle. I do my best to bring awareness to the action I take, the words I use. I try my best to be kind and honest to myself and others, and always grateful for the gift of practice. Yoga has given me the ability to enjoy  the present moment in my life and showed me how to go above the limits and live my life here and right now…”

Yoga opened new possibilities for Yelena and lead her to meet with awesome Yoga people, Baron Baptiste, Debbie Williamson, Paige Elenson, Jonathan Reynolds, and Bryan Kest.  Yelena’s teachers showed her the desire to share with others a path to a healthy lifestyle and gratefulness for yourself and everything that you can achieve in your life.

Thomas Fenner, RYT-200

Thomas  began his yoga journey in April of 2015, as a way to take his lifestyle to the next level. In addition, he had become too comfortable with his life and stagnation had set in. He was hooked immediately. It didn’t take long for him to recognize the true benefits that come from practicing yoga sincerely. His deep compassion for the well-being of others inspired him to want to bring these benefits to others. He believes that helping others people is the most important thing that a person can do, and that teaching from the heart can inspire people to change their lives. After all, we are not here to suffer. We are here to heal our suffering. “Yoga has helped me to fit in less, and stand out more, which for me is perfect”.

Jaclynn Morrow, RYT-200

Jackie began practicing yoga her first year of college in 2010. She need a way to help her manage the demands of school and work so she tried a yoga class. It wasn’t long before the spiritual and heart healing aspects of yoga took hold. She hoped to eventually learn more about yoga. In October 2015 that wish came true as she began training as a yoga teach at Lotus Power Yoga. Since completing that training in February 2016, Jackie’s enjoyed watching students challenge themselves on and off the mat. A quote from Jackie on her yoga journey:”Unlike anything else, yoga has helped me make huge progress on myself, and not just physically! Everyday I’m more surprised about how far I’ve come and better able to appreciate the impact yoga has had on my life-less anxiety, more positivity, more confidence! It’s just phenomenal!”
